Keep the home fires burning

Nothing compares to a real fire. Well, maybe a roaring fire with fine food and friends.

I had a lovely Sunday which culminated in a delicious dinner with old friends.

The day started with a visit to Elmley bird reserve where we spotted a gloriously elegant egret before listening to an interesting talk on bird populations followed by my first mince pie of the season

Then we headed to Minster to close the caravan for the winter
