1940s Christmas dinner?

Hopefully with this blip I'm back on track and tomorrow will be able to return to my usual early morning browse though other blippers, which I have not been able to do for a couple of days.
This was this evening's dinner but I was thinking of how this would have been such a luxury when I was a child that, if we were very lucky, we would have had roast chicken for Christmas dinner.
