One World Trade Center

We arrived in New York yesterday and today our first visit of the trip was to the new  One World Trade Centre (also known as 1 World Trade Centre) the current building was dubbed the "Freedom Tower"  during initial groundwork,  it refers to the main building of the rebuilt World Trade Centre complex in Lower Manhattan NY.
 It is the tallest Skyscraper in the western hemisphere  and the sixth tallest in the world . The 104-story structure  shares a numeric name with the North Tower of the original World Trade Centre, which was destroyed in the terrorist attacks of Sept 11,  2001. We took a high speed lift to the observation deck where the views were spectacular. We also visited the memorial at Ground Zero which was really moving .
