Artichoke fruit

I popped down to the allotment for a burst of weeding before the sun set.  I assume these are the fruits of an Artichoke plant taken as the sun was setting and a golden glow spread over some of the plants.

One of those days where I wondered what I have done, but I did start some Christmas cards and avoided Christmas shopping, better done during the week.
