Diary of an Edinburgher

Go Archie!

Archie's favourite dog borrowers (actually, the only ones who have lasted...) came today. And what a welcome they got from him! Amazing how he remembers them, as they haven't been - what with one thing and another, though not for want of trying - for months. It gave me a chance to brush the path and get some firewood in while he was gone.

JR went to the supermarket, mentioning as she skipped out the door, that she might get some more twinkly lights! Amazingly enough, she didn't, but the other seasonal irresistibles - doggy Christmas treats - were in evidence.

Talking of twinkly lights, the ones in the hall that took ages to put up with miles of sellotape yesterday were on the floor this morning *sigh* So they've just been draped instead, which works just fine.

As it was such a nice afternoon, we went up the Hill, and called in to collect Bailey as well. We didn't go right up, but spent time calling them back and forth - which really gives them a good run with no effort on our part.

This photo is unusual, not only because Archie has all four feet off the ground, but he's actually marginally ahead of Bailey! He's normally miles behind, unless he gets a head start.
