Weathered
Today's theme, chosen by Gorgeous.
Walking out from Warebeth towards Billiacrue there were plenty of weathered beach finds among the rocks. On the way back we headed up to Breckness Castle which was built in 1633 but was very soon abandoned and left to the weather. This is one of the building stones which forms a corner of what was once the grand dining hall. Hoy is a blur in the distance and you can see how hundreds of years of storms have whistled against this corner of the building, shaping all the stonework. It's a great place to wander through, there are two huge fireplace arches in the kitchen area...I would LOVE to know what this place looked like when it was in use.
Don't forget to take a look at Lukearse's spin on today's theme.
