Icarus flies into the Sun over the Alps.

I hope he is not Icarus! Several people were taking off from the Grand Chamossaire today, as we were snow-shoeing back down the hill. The speed of these huge paragliders as they go over your head, is astonishing! It was only after I uploaded the photos on the big screen that I noticed the sun's halo. David gets all nostalgic when he sees paragliders as he did it for years!

Thanks so much for the wonderful comments etc. on yesterday's sunburst over the Alps, we are so, so, fortunate to live where we do. When we see what is happening in other parts of the world, some very close geographically, we feel very privileged.
