My second emergency mantle sheep blip of the week precipitated by a washout of a day. I've had this family for years, picked up from a little craft place in Lancaster which used to be a favourite spot for choosing Christmas gifts.

I had tickets for the Bradford City game for the kids and I, but when we arrived we found it had been called off while we were traveling in on the bus. There was nothing for it but to make the sodden journey home with only the prospect of a hot chocolate to keep spirits up. Still at least we hadn't had to travel up from Southend for the match - pity the away fans who'd made that journey only to find the match postponed.
