Craving peanuts for Christmas

Yes, you read that right! Strange cravings for peanuts today. So far I've had chicken in satay sauce from the farmer's market; peanut M&Ms, and a handful of raw peanuts while I cooked supper. Might just have a g-f cookie with peanut butter now, before bedtime.

As I'm not pregnant, my analysis of the situation is that if I want peanuts, hey, whatever....

Today I thought I might have had a card stall indoors in the church hall next to the Shambles, but it was not to be. I was up and about anyway, so went down to town, carrying some cards in case I met any friends that needed any. I didn't bump into anyone, but I did get the shopping done, and picked up this book in the library sale. I was hoping from the cover that it would be a ghost story (I love them at Christmas) but apparently it's a Christmas tale of crime in the countryside.

The town was full of carollers and cat-charity stalls, but I didn;t snap anything because the weather was grey when not actually raining! After getting the bus home, I eventually lay down for a few minutes to finish my book. Next thing I knew, Steve was waking me to offer me a cup of tea, and I was asking if it was morning....

This is the first day I've felt really Christmassy. We're not having a tree this year because we're going away, but I think I need to go up into the loft to look for the lights. Maybe there'll be a cake up there, too ;)
