Party girls

Tonight was our Christmas party from my practice in Barrowford.

We'd booked to go to Manchester, for food at Bem Brazil (a Brazilian, all you can eat meat feast) followed by drinks in the city.

This was the first do I've been on for a couple of years, so I wanted to make the most of it and get dolled up, as the staff only usually see me in scrubs and minimal make up.

I've been well and truly pampered; got my hair done this morning, then had my make up done by a lovely lady I found on Facebook. We chatted quite a bit while she preened me; she commented how still I was while she was applying my eye makeup. I told her, I love having this done and that I'd previously done wedding fairs so was used to having makeup done.

She told me she's at a wedding fair just up the road from where we live in February, and asked if I'd be a model for her! I said as long as it doesn't clash with our trip to NYC, then yes, I'd gladly do it.

With my hair and make up done for me, all I needed to do was get dressed, before Mr A arrived home to chauffeur me to meet my work pals for pre minibus drinks.

The minibus was an experience (to say the least); we all duly buckled up (after what's happened recently to our colleague). We had to make a detour as the M66 was closed due to flooding, and our Boss ended up being co driver as the taxi driver didn't know how to get into Manchester!!!

The meal was fab, sooooooo much meat, it was heaven! A few drinks afterwards then the taxi back home.

It was a great night and my feet are killing me, which is always a good sign, plus I managed to take it easy on the alcohol so no hangover tomorrow. Bonus!
