Back to nature

First day of the holidays and the call of the wild found its way to my ears as I relaxed over breakfast.  I gathered my camera, crept towards the open back door, listened and watched.......then there he was.  A beautiful silvereye enjoying his breakfast from a nearby manuka bush.  

Went along to Y's early birthday bash in the evening.  Having a birthday just 2 days before Christmas and changing two age digits this year made for a great reason to celebrate ;)  Lovely night Y!
