an Unexpected Visitor

I was just looking out over the back lawn when this wonderful sight appeared up out of the field drainage ditch.

The cormorant did a little dance and appeared to be trying to dry its wings.

Bob the pheasant got a bit of a surprise as he was having his breakfast..  

I have never seen a cormorant on our lawn before.  Clearly it must be something to do with that global warming.
