Lymm Dickensian Day

My family have been featured in an exhibition, Family Portrait of Scots Italians, at the National Record Office for Scotland in Edniburgh. It is based on a census conducted by Mussolini in the 1930s.

The photograph that leads this article in The Times online is of my grandparents and some of their children taken circa 1913 just a few years after my grandfather came to this country from a small hamlet in northern Italy. They seem quite prosperous.
