Remarkable roots

The roots of this western red cedar stretch over a huge boulder, almost hugging it.  I've wanted to take a photo of it for a long time but can never get the light quite right, so I used the auto setting today.  Not exactly what I want, so I added a slight canvas texture.
An afternoon walk along Burgoyne Bay road - a bit too late to catch much sun because it went behind Mount Tuam soon after we started out.  Lovely to be outside though, and we're back to the rain tomorrow.
