with the international ones first. Good for UNICEF: no mention of Christmas, just 'Season's Greetings' in various languages. In theory nobody should get upset, unless they're Christians, or care about Imported Victorian traditions and their place in the cultural orthodoxy of middle England.
I rather like the EU rate stamps, which I bought some while ago: I suspect the wearer of the helmet was impatient with the niceties of Celtic Christian theology and was impatient to get on with the killing, or maybe just collecting the Danegeld and getting back to the mead hall in time for some serious riddles and the next instalment of a saga. A bit like me waiting to see what Saga will achieve in the next instalment of The Bridge (s. 3)
