Blue Tree
I went into Saffron Walden this morning with my daughter to have our nails done and took a picture of Maria’s blue Christmas tree. I do not normally like too much blue on a tree, but I quite liked this one in this setting, so I took a picture anyway. I am pleased that I did as it has been pouring with rain ever since I got home.
My daughter and I were commenting that Saffron Walden is a deadly dull place, full of charity shops, cafes and not a lot of ordinary, ‘proper’ shops. This brought to mind that last night, Saffron Walden made the BBC East news. There was a meeting last night relating to putting up Council Tax in this district by 65% next year; I am in this district!
The daffodil buds that I saw in the garden yesterday will have to wait for another day so this blue tree is my picture for today.
Looking back I can see that it is four years today since my beautiful Splodge died, I did not need to look back, I think of her daily, especially when I am in the garden.
