Meeting the MP

6th December 2015 Community meeting:

Our people, Rose, Alepher and Alfred met with one of the local MP's at his request.

Welcoming Remarks
ü  We were welcomed by Pius Longwe who introduced us to the audience
ü  He was the master of ceremony
ü  The  meeting was  developing the area
Agendas
ü  The STA was very pleased with the chiefs of Mzyola area saying that there very active in developmental activities
ü  The stated that development is a key to success
ü  He also indicated that the villagers are expected to dig a trench of water as part of their communities development
ü  He said that it wasn’t proper for us to work in his area without him knowing But was  quick to say that we are most welcome
ü  He  then said that he would like to meet our boss
ü  He finished by saying that within 6 months the teachers houses should be finished because the community has the bricks while the Local development Fund will purchase the cement and iron sheets for  the school.
ü  The Officer from water expressed his concern on how the CCAP work without informing them and said that he hopes that we wont be like them
ü  He also said that it will benefit the community to work hand in hand with us and that we should be sending reports to their office
ü  He also said that he would like to meet our boss
ü  He added by saying that their office would like to bring piped water to the area and the boreholes and shallow wells will help as well
ü  The MP was thrilled with Us and he said that he would also like their girls from the community to benefit from our programme of helping with fees .

ü  I explained about Wells for Zoë brief background and Alfred discussed wells
AOBs
ü  The would like to build a Hospital in the area
ü  The will be a Review meeting for Water Department date and venue to be updated soon
ü  I meet  GVH  Mthetha from Ruvuwu saying  that they have moulded  50 000 bricks for the school blockd at Ruvuwu
ü  He said that Mary C promised them to fund the blocks with iron sheets
ü  I told the Mp to help us with the selling of fruit trees
ü  We got the contacts
ü
