Slow cooker

I've had this slow cooker for at least 29 years, it was a gift from my Granny. The plastic lid has been deteriorating gradually for all of that time and for the last several years has been held together with gaffer tape. But now that the fragments have become smaller and more numerous, the glue on the tape can no longer prevent them from falling into the meal as it warms and softens.
This elderly piece of kitchen equipment has always symbolised fairness to me and I will be sorry to have to replace it. Especially since it is in full working order and it is only the plastic lid that has failed. I wonder if it will be possible to purchase just a lid?
