Venison Fillet Steak

I've not been up to much this week, kind of mixed weather has kept me hiding indoors most of the time.

Venison fillet steak, lightly seared in a pan with orange & chili infused oil and then left to "rest" in a warm oven, carrot sticks coated in chilli oil and roasted, black pudding fried in the same pan after the venison and mashed potatoes. Accompanied with a strong whisky cream sauce with honey and hot chilli powder. The steak was almost perfectly cooked and delicious, especially with the whisky sauce and black pudding. 

I actually ate twice as much as this (two steaks) on a regular plate but presented this on a slate mat for photographic purposes.
