Different walk today

Close to the pocket park in Ely which we visit quite often there is a lovely circular walk along a wooded park or a meadow beside the railway, across a level crossing and back along the riverbank. Only about one and a half miles but lovely for the dogs as, apart from the road across the level crossing, they can run free all the way. We have not walked this for about 2 years as Sophie always had to be on the lead (or she would probably get onto the railway) and latterly walked very slowly. Without her we could confidently do it again. It took an hour because we kept meeting other dog walkers so stopped to chat and socialise. All three dogs showed interest in the river - but a firm  'don't you dare!' brought them back from the brink. I did not want three wet, cold dogs in the car!
