Palm Sunday at Christmas.
Bible study today at the JDC in the morning. We are working through mark and the way it's worked out is we are having to do what is effectively the Easter story in December and we are trying to complete it so we can do youth alpha after Christmas. So today was Palm Sunday. As the activity we decided to use one of the Palm trees to make Palm crosses. However this meant trying to cut one of the branches off! This resulted in much hysterics from the guys as they watched the muzungus try master a machete. Eventually the branch did come off and we enjoyed making the crosses - here is Gabrielle's attempt.
As our language teacher was busy we had a rare afternoon off. Laura and I decided to cycle into town to have a look at the African craft shop and go to the bakery. Found THE cutest little thing for baby Lyden which was too sweet not to get (but you'll have to wait until March - sorry)
Extra is of my bible through the JDC window. I loved the light through the pages.
