Flood Warning.

As we were driving through the village of Berriew, Powys on the way to our caravan we noticed several people standing on the road bridge over the River Rhiw. I was able to stop and park nearby and got out with my camera to have a nose.

Although it is called a river, the Rhiw is normally little more than an innocuous stream, but today it was a relative torrent. If the rain they've had there is any worse than this it's no wonder there is so much devastation in the north east. It continued raining here for the rest of the day so I guess the river will have risen even higher.
