Detour

We were attempting to go to Rainier for breakfast, but the highway was closed due to several landslides. They did point us to the hills and told us of a way on the back roads to get there. Off we went on an excursion. There were small landslides there too, and creeks running on the road and over the road, too swollen to stay within their banks. Rain had stopped though, and the sun even appeared for a bit.
Our breakfast journey took longer than intended, but we did make it there and back in one piece. I had many shots of the ample water, but this one on the forest road appealed to me.
