A lighted window ...
You can barely see it in the gloom, but there is a small lit window on the ground floor of the buildings that are now Benmore Gallery and its environs. Driven out in the wind and rain - and the gathering gloom - by the ever-present need for fresh air and exercise, we chose the track past Benmore Gardens and along the western shore of Loch Eck today, thereby avoiding the gales which whistled through the trees on the hillside but didn't really affect most of our walk. We also avoided the unseen perils left by dog-walkers, who tend not to come along here.
It was, by the way, every bit as gloomy as this photo suggests. It was four o'clock in the afternoon (the tower clock is wrong) and this is perhaps the dreariest photo I've posted here. Never mind - I'm home again!
