I went to work in my walking shoes, had to jump off the bus and get Mr H to bring me a pair of office shoes. He did that and I still caught my usual bus.
Walking shoes are for two things: one - to wear them down, two - to have a lunch time walk. No 2 is to aid No 1. It is not a good look, but the feet love it. They usually scream when I put heals on and walk them up the hill.
