On Its Way at Last!

Funny how you wake up with something on your mind which turns out to be the answer to all your recent problems!  I did just that today and discovered why I hadn't received the emails I'd been waiting for to return my faulty computer.  The numpties had sent it to my daughter!!

She had actually purchased the new computer for me, as she was able to get a small discount via a scheme at work, although it had been shipped direct to me.  The final adviser I spoke to had understood all that, yet forgot to mention to me that he would have to send the emails containing the Return label to my daughter, as the buyer.  She naturally assumed they had been sent to me too, as I had the actual computer at my address, but of course they hadn't been!  Not sure how the adviser thought she was going to be able to return the item, but so glad I rang her to ask her to forward the missing emails to me!!

After a bit of faffing around getting the right format for me to be able to print the label, it was finally packed up and taken to the pick-up point.  As soon as it arrives at its destination and is checked over, the replacement should be sent out.  What a palaver!! 

So I'm now back on my extremely slow laptop, but at least it doesn't keep dropping the wi-fi connection - unless of course, the broadband signal goes down!  Fingers crossed for a successful outcome - hopefully this side of Christmas:-)
