How large is a Large Skipper?

We spotted this tiny butterfly resting in the wet grass as we left Cliburn Moss National Nature Reserve. Not being very good at identifying butterflies and moths (except for the very common ones that appear in our garden), the nearest we could find in our butterfly spotters book was a Large Skipper. The name throws me as that this was a very small butterfly! So if anyone can help we'd welcome some advice.

We'd escaped from Center Parcs for a walk around the local area and it felt good to be out and able to see a bit more of the local area. Once out we appeared to be `locked out' of the park but fortunately a trio of pony trekkers appeared just at the right moment and were able to let us back in through one of the locked gates.

So we got back just in time to see some of our family scaling great heights on one of the parcs climbing frames (and we'd missed the scary moment when Jazz had got her hood caught as she'd been lowered down from the previous climb - her dad had to go back up and rescue her!)

Our last evening together and we managed a meal in the Lakeside Inn before the main team heading out to play indoor soccer - such energy! Meanwhile we had a sedate walk around the lake to buy more milk in what was the best spell of sun we'd had while we were away. Why are the evenings so much better than the days at the moment?
