Fish

It's been a day dominated by fish. On small Siumat Island we have done the following:

- seen fish being caught off the jetty and taken for consumption in the village
- asked the fishing community about the impact of our project on them
- learnt about problems they have with other villages entering their waters to fish using illegal methods
- eaten freshly (but not hygienically based on later events) cooked fish lunch on the floor in one of the villager's houses
- practised Indonesian with kids while most of the community played dominoes
- realised that children on Indonesian islands look about 7 but are actually 13

It was an interesting day.
