Snowy Tree

The ride home was interesting. I had collected some old floppy disks, which my partner will use for notebook covers (making the cover is the easy part, but each sheet of paper needs to be individually cut to size). As I head up Colinton Road, cold wet rain starts to fall.

At the crest of the hill at Firrhill, I am propelled from autumn in to winter. Cold wet snowflakes land on my nose, not very pleasant. As I climb up towards my house, the snow gets heavier and it is starting to lie on parked cars. The roads aren't too bad, and I manage to cycle home on snow free roads.

Later on, just before my tea time, I notice the snow is lying everywhere. I know it won't last for long, and will be mostly gone before morning. I take a few photos. After humming and hawing, the only photo that seems remotely publishable is this one converted to monochrome.
