Doctor, doctor

What a day... 

We've been the house of cranky turmoil this morning... no particular reason,  just one of those days  with everyone a bit under the weather  and out of sorts,...

Then as Little un has started to skip naps we headed off to book bugs this afternoon as I thought it would be a nice calm thing to do... 

It didn't go well, little un was tired and did the quiet, dead stare for most of it, and she  also said she had a sore arm at the start of the session... Then when we came to leave, she didn't want to put her coat on,  so I ended up wrapping her up and carrying her home instead,  she fell asleep on my shoulder on route... 

After her nap she was really tearful and out of sorts and I noticed that she was holding her arm strangely,  so I got a last minute appointment at the doctors to get it checked out,  poor little bugger had dislocated the bone near her elbow...we think it might have happened as she was taking her coat off  at the book bugs class as she was jerking her arm out of the jacket... apparently it happens quite a lot with toddlers, as the ligaments that hold everything together are all stretchy at this age... she was really brave and after it was straightened out has been really perky... I guess this is my first experience of dealing with accidents and injuries from a mum's perspective... Glad we got it sorted so quickly but really hope I don't have to do it too often, as it's heartbreaking seeing her suffer...
