Today's the day ............................. to sell the fridge

Just as a diversion from the much more serious considerations going on at the present time - I am pleased to tell you that Will sold our old fridge/freezer today on Gumtree.  He got £10 for it but we were delighted with that because the chap that bought it came and picked it up.  It was actually £20 more than we would have had if we'd got the shop, where we got the new one, to take it away. 

Anyone who knows Will well can tell you what an organised sort of person he is.  Everything he has is kept in a place - a box, a drawer, a filing cabinet, on a shelf - and he is very loath to throw anything away.  He gets a lot of stick for this, especially from members of the family - but it doesn't bother him.

And today it paid off because he was able to hand over with the fridge/freezer, the original purchase receipt (dated 12th April 1986) - and an instruction manual .........................
