Lichen

I never realised before just how pretty Lichen really is;  usually I just see it as "Verdigris" on plants and stonework, but after uploading this I was amazed how intricate and delicate it is. This is growing on the Magnolia which is already coming into bud.

I could have gone out today as far as the weather was concerned but I had things to do, so unfortunately I didn't have time to set off with the camera.  The wind has just "got up" again, it's a cold one too and we have to go out this evening  -   given the option I'd definitely opt for staying home.
