Perfect Alignment

What better support can an early morning riser be to his sleeping wife than to find one of her cameras and lest she missed the chance, take a photograph of a crescent moon and Venus in alignment in the southern sky.
However despite the best of intentions, the resulting photos taken in the dark with a handheld camera he is not familiar with, were not quite good enough to pass off as my own, but he has amassed several Boy Scout points in his favour -Father Christmas will be informed.

By the time I got out of bed and outside with the correct camera and a bench to lean on, they were still there.

My life is a social whirl today and I shall be out of the office all day, leaving His Lordship to his own devices. He seems remarkably happy with that.
