Budding Leaves

I saw these soon to be leaves entering the world as I walked around our complex this morning drinking my coffee. I immediately got my camera and took a couple of photos, but I wasn't happy with the lighting. I took an online class in speedlight photography a couple of weeks ago, so I broke out my Canon flash and used it remotely to add a bit of fill light. Not too much but hopefully enough to add a bit of contrast to this interesting subject.
