I'm rather glad I didn't go head on into trying to sort out what I found to be a bit of a nasty leak in our cistern. Called in the professional and the cistern was off and valve needed replaced.

A bit beyond my limited plumbing experience.

I did however discuss my possible invention with him. Some sort of water heater to stop cisterns condensing water on the outside.
