It's that chateau again

Choir practice in Carcassonne this evening (Dvorak arranged by Janacek). I spotted the Christmas lights on the Pont Vieux, so I decided to stop and have a go at some night shots on the way home. I haven't done much of this with the Sony, and I wasn't terribly impressed. Weird colour casts and lots of noise; and because it was cloudy and spitting with rain, the street lights reflected off the low cloud and produced a strange halo. This was the best of the few that I took, hacked about a bit in Lightroom. In the Sony's defence, the fact that I forgot to switch to RAW probably didn't help.

Pretty depressed about the election results :( In our area the socialists and other left/greens have already agreed on a joint list for the next (3-way) round on Sunday. Hopefully that will be enough to fend off the right.
