Devastation...

...on Wooler Common.

We took Louie there for his walk this morning, but couldn't follow the usual path as this huge tree had fallen across it, and lots more had come down in the wind over the last couple of days

Afterwards we ventured down to Alnwick to do at least some of the shopping we'd planned to do yesterday. Several trees had obviously been cleared from the road - saw dozens of trees en route that had either been blown down or snapped in two by the wind - and a big lorry that had overturned was still lying on its side.

Thinking of those in Cumbria and further south in Northumberland whose homes have been flooded. Awful.
