Kew Gardens by day and night!

We headed away from Portsmouth into Richmond to spend the day at Kew Gardens and also to visit the Kew at Christmas Light Display.

We arrived about midday and walked and walked and walked, it's such a great place even in Winter with lots to see both outdoors and inside all the greenhouses (I use the term loosely, they're a bit bigger than your average greenhouse!)

We had to be out of the gardens by 4.15pm and our time to visit the Christmas Lights was 6pm so we wandered into Kew Village and found a Fullers Pub called The Tap on the Line, which is apparently the last pub on a platform on the London Underground.  One of my favourite pints is Fullers ESB, which they had on draught, so we sat outside (yes outside in December!) and had a couple of pints before we went back to see the stunning light display.

Another excellent day and it appears, according to my pedometer, we walked over 10 miles!
