GARABALDI
Or maybe it was Victor Emanuel II. I didn't manage to check out which horseman was which as the Professor was explaining to me that one was asking the other if he had a cure for piles. Anyway, it was the bonny blue sky that deserves most attention.
Lovely sunny day at Fiesole. The mist lay over Florence so no spectacular views, but the company was grand as usual. Later we ate at the gorgeous Menagere, redolent of pine needles and flowers. Today is the Feast of the ImmaculateeConception, when Florentians traditionally put up their Christmas trees and turn on the lights. Religious stuff aside, what a jolly good idea - none of this Christmas trees in October nonsense.
