Common sand piper

On a weekend away in Izu (actually already back and retro-blippin')

ISO 1600 on a Canon Kiss X5 (that's a EOS Rebel T3i in the States for a 'harder' name) is never going to be pretty, and this was taken after sunset on my first day of the trip, but I was excited to be snapping birds other than sparrows and brown-eared bulbuls!



Got shots of a kingfisher too, but at such a distance that the pixels could cut you.
