The Diminutive Tauhou or SilverEye
They are smaller than a sparrow and this little fella contemplating a bath seemed particularly small. Māori named them tauhou meaning new arrival - as these birds introduced themselves to Aotearoa New Zealand in the 1800s from Australia.
