Let the flood clean up commence

Starting with the broken down fire engine!

what a mess some of the streets and houses are in Kendal, lots of places flooded and people's possessions ruined.

R and everyone else has been sent home from uni as the whole of lancaster and Morecambe have no power (not even traffic lights), my usual 40 min trip there took double time as the M6 was stacked up, and getting back into Kendal needed some lateral thinking. Tonight they have closed all the bridges awaiting structural assessment probably because a couple of bridges in the Lakes have already collapsed. Pooley Bridge will now just be know as Pooley! Chaos for the morning traffic will commence!!
