Close to where we live there is a farm who have been growing Christmas trees for over 40 years. You can pick anything from a tiny three footer up to a 40ft+ for a civic centrepiece. Luckily j9 wore this bright coat or I might still be looking for her now.

We chose a perfect 10ft one for the first Christmas in our new home, it's beautiful. Although when the chainsaw fired up it was a bit like watching your turkey being strangled for you.

After that it was ticking off tasks before retiring to the pub for arrival of the youngest. Carl certainly approved of the huge double burgers in brioche buns on the new menu.

Great to see him as always and a fun night.
