Worn out

The wind finally dropped at about half seven this morning but we decided not to head to the sea, choosing instead to stay in in the warm. Mum and Dad headed home - going the longer route to avoid the flooding - only to find that there was a widespread power cut due to a flooded sub station. The recorded message from the power company says that it'll be back on at 7pm - on Tuesday! Luckily they have plenty of candles - including a box from when we used to live in Kent - 38 years ago - still with their 18p (!) sticker on. 

Bailey and I headed home after lunch and had a good journey back with the A1 considerably less stressful than on Friday. Bailey slept most of the way and has then slept on the sofa for the remainder of the afternoon and the evening. His cousin is in the same state, apparently. A good weekend had by all and just two more weeks (9 school days - and definitely counting) to go until we break up for Christmas.
