Bestest Girlie...
Maya and I went back off to Lansdown Kennel Club event this morning. Glorious sunshine when I left here.... Not it Bath.... it was pouring and it continued all morning pretty much so it was pretty much a mud bath there today but the rings ran and the ground was not too slippy. I waited till pretty much the end of the class to go and get her in the hope it would have stopped raining and got lucky.
We were the last do to run got a great clear round only to be told the timer hadn't worked so we would have to go again...
so after getting our breath back... we set off again.. me praying that we would still go clear... we did... and I couldn't believe it.. the timer went wrong again....
the timing crew was called in, I was interrogated as to what I might have on Maya or me to stop it... but nothing came to mind... apparently it had not faulted once in the 150+ other dogs that had already run and after much conflab they decided that I would have to run yet again and they would use the timer and have two stop watches on just in case.... Well what was the likelihood of me getting a third clear.. especially as Maya was getting tired.. not to mention me and was anticipating on the 2nd round where we were going....
but there was no other way, rules are rules and I had to run again.... we got clear...... and the timer worked and we had the fasted time... so having only gone up to Grade 2 for the first time yesterday... we are now a Grade 3 outfit.. how cool is that.... she also got a 2nd in the Grade 2 jumping and a 4th in the combined Grade 1-3 Jumping.. what a wet, muddy but great way to start July!
So a picture of her back at the car before we left and one of her now at home fast asleep with her wins!
