1 2 3 LIFT

Big day today. After last nights huge snowfall we weren't sure if plans were scuppered. But luckily the snow was melting but we were up at 6.30 to start clearing it in prep for the arrival of The Men at 8am!
They arrived bright and breezy with a big steel joist to be fitted across the rear of our house. No mean task, especially as it had to be brought in through the building. But, they didn't flinch. Under the guidance of the lovely Eddie Kay (surely Mr Steel), the joist was in place, no messing, by 9.30! Final tweaks and adjustment took a further couple of hours and the steel team were away.
And then, the Acrow props were removed from my kitchen. Just when I'd planned how the Christmas lights were going to look round them.
To add to the excitement of the day our new front and back doors were delivered. Pity the weather turned to gale force winds before there's any chance of fitting them.
