Gelert moment

Pip was introduced to Bruno today. They got on pretty well, although Bruno was a bit jealous. We left them together to go to the cinema, and when we returned, only Bruno could be found. With increasing panic, daughter and I searched the house, but Pip could not be found. Just when I was thinking Bruno must have eaten her, I got a text from my ex saying she had popped round and picked up Pip (to be fair the text had been sent earlier but had only just come through).
Was reminded of the story of Gelert, faithful hound who was killed after mistakenly believed to have killed a baby, when he had been defending it.
