Wet & Windy Day Blip
Up quite smart this morning and we dared the wrath of Desmond (what a bl@@dy stupid name for a storm, by the way!) We headed for Dunblane (M&S, of course.) very steadily with gallons of water skooshing out from the wheels. At one point the water was pouring off the fields and across the road forcing me down to a second great crawl. We turned onto the M9 and all went well for a couple of miles. Just as I noticed that the south-bound lane was completely empty I also saw the flashing blue lights warning us to dramatically drop speed again. Our side was passable with care but the Bannock Burn was flooding the south-bound side to knee depth.
The return journey took an hour thanks to road closures, emergency vehicles and just the weight of traffic.
So Rona has again volunteered to step up to the plate once more.
Stay safe and dry, blippers!
