Making a start ..

on Christmas.

Such a vile day as Storm Desmond makes his presence felt! Thankfully we had no need to head out so it seemed like a good time to get the decorations out.

This is a new one I have treat myself to. It reminded me of the natural ones I saw at Harlow Carr last year. I have taken a picture down in the hall and hung it there.

The decorations are a mixture of old and new. The white ones were a gift from Germany many years ago and the wooden stars were bought in Prague. The one in the illustration when I ordered it had stuffed birds on! A step too far I think but I wanted it to look fairly neutral and natural.

I hope all you blippers in Cumbria are safe and dry.
