Agent CM7 on Guard Duty

Blipmate and I went to the coastal area known as the Kumeras this morning for our weekly photographic jaunt. It was a beautiful warm, sunny morning and as the tide was out, we were able to walk out for some distance.

We thought this Oyster Catcher may have been guarding a nest as he watched our approach with interest and seemed reluctant to move. When he finally shifted, we took a look but there was just the usual beach flotsam. He was wearing a fetching little identity bracelet on his leg with his name, CM7, on it.

Out on the tide line there were lots of oyster catchers feeding. It was  good to be out in the fresh air today before the sun got too hot.
